Sophia, on your 14th birthday last year, I went to a lot of trouble to get a letter into your hands. I got you a gift as well, but I didn’t send it until I was sure you would actually receive it. It seems that a few people went to a lot of trouble to prevent you from having happy birthday wishes from me.
